Hey all you tourists...Montreal's "UNDERGROUND CITY" is a hoax!
There is no underground city. It's not Atlantis. There aren't underground trolls or tool booths to pay, there are no munchkins, candy houses, mud huts or igloos.
It's a mall people! A SHOPPING MALL, THAT'S ON THE BASEMENT LEVEL...THAT CONNECTS TO OTHER MALLS....
IT S A BASEMENT LEVEL STRIP ,MALL.
IT'S NOT:
* the 8th wonder of the world
* an underground community
* special
IT IS:
* filled with disgruntled employees willing to give bad customer service at the drop of a hat ( or dollar)
* dark
* filled with duplicate stores ( 4 "dynamites" - necessary? I don't think so!)
* filled with tourist groups "ooh-ing" and "ahhh-ing" as they are told that they are IN THE underground city ....
